  • In 1990 under the leadership of Dr. Antone Tannehill and friends from the First Presbyterian Church, an initiative was started to create a free clinic in Lee County to serve the working poor.
  • Thanks to the momentum of the CREATE Foundation and others, the effort grew into the Good Samaritan Health Service, founded in 1992.
